Building Rural Gurukuls in India, enabling informal eco-learning for the marginal commons, who are willing to learn but have no access to formal education system, being ostracized from mainstream development.

Our ISKUL in Moipith is in one of the remotest socio-ecology and the largest delta of world, called the Indian Sundarbans. It is also the largest mangrove ecosystem that inhabits the Royal Bengal Tigers. That is one reason, the kids more often encounter a man-killer or the tiger than a man-maker – a teacher. This school is the dream-liner of some four-hundred marginal indigenous households of this area, lying below poverty-line, who not only survive the man-animal conflict but also struggle with the climate hazards and yet dream that their kids will one day become a self-made human being. We simply work to make the dream come true

The Rikhiya ISKUL is in the drought prone plateau of Jharkhand in eastern India, where every drop of water counts. Rough terrain, poverty, erratic weather conditions and a handful of hundred-twenty ostracized indigenous community households with almost no livelihood. But the kids herein do dream. They fly high as pilots or even wish for ‘Destination Moon’, aspire to become the premier of the state, or see them designing the biggest bridge of the world. Ours is to catalyse these dreams to truth. A truth that change desire to determination. Penury to Potentiality.

Our planners and mentors are architects of creative learning and adaptive knowledge, who co-create the curriculum for the kids with a design-approach, plan the incubation of knowledge products with a science of empiricism and help reach out better with sustainable resource management, so as to Leave No One Behind.

The team of educationalists, who impart knowledge to bloom the bud of inquisitiveness amongst the underserved kid-Zens and help them learn the lessons, with their experienced methods of teaching-learning practice, eco-visioned pedagogy, place-based subject knowledge. The not only educate, but they touch the hearts to teach them their culture, social ethos, environmental values and self-respect.
